  • Why can't I hang my zapper on my house?

    This unit should never be mounted on a permanent structure because it is putting out a large amount of electricity. Mounting your bug zapper to a tree, fence or lamp post could be a fire hazard.

  • Where should I place my bug zapper?

    This unit uses a variety of lures to attract bugs. To avoid insects being attracted to your immediate area, we suggest that you hang or position the insect zapper between the source of insects (yard, woods) and the area to be protected, but no more than 10-14 ft. from human activity.

  • How often should I replace the lure in my unit?

    For optimal performance, the lure should be replaced every 30 days.

  • Can this item be used indoors?

    Yes, this unit was designed for both indoor and outdoor residential use.

  • What are the benefits of using black UV light?

    A black UV light bulb attracts up to 40% more insects than white UV lights.

  • Can I use a different adapter to charge my unit?

    Only use the AC adapter that is provided with this unit. Using an adapter with different voltage, or one that is not intended for the unit, may cause damage to unit, damage to personal property or personal injury.

  • Unit will not light, no apparent grid voltage

  • Unit appears to be working properly but insect populations do not seem reduced

    1. Check surrounding area for sitting water, insects breed in these areas and should be eliminated from the source.
    2. Allow more time; it will take some time for the insects to find the unit and also for there to be an impact on their reproductive cycles.
    3. Try moving the unit to another area of the yard. If you are in between the unit and the source of the insects, they will have to fly by you to get to the unit and you may actually notice an increase in insects.
